On totems:
What are totems?
Totems and the bre’hon are the spiritual helpers that God
gives us in life. Totem animals are spiritual beings, but they also exist in
the realm of the mind, as part of us; our consciousness and psyche. They are
part of the make up of our personality, which is why they were assigned to us.
So they are both separate from us and they are also part of us.
How many totems do you have?
I am of the opinion that all people have at least nine
totems, and many types of totems which have a variety of functions. Five of
these totems will be the most utilized or primary totems. These five are the
center totem, and the main totems of the four cardinal directions.
You have totems for
the;
North- these will
be land animals (also plants and stones), even prehistoric ones.
East- these will
be birds and air animals (also plants and stones that are connected with that
element to you).
South- this will
be whatever animals you equate with passion and or strong emotion (also plants
and stones). This will also often be the place where mythological animals
reside. These animals will often be your protectors, and help you fight
offensively.
West- these will
be your water animals (also plants and stones).
Above- this will
be whatever animals that represent a connection to the divine to you (as well
as plants and animals).
Center- this will
be your main primary totems, and often your life long totems (animals, plants,
and stones).
Below- these will
often be the place of support, messenger, or shadow totems. Often it is also
the place of your guardian protectors; Many times taking the place of defensive
totems.
Life long totems: these totems have been with you your whole life, and are often your
main totems.
Journey totems:
these totems appear to help you through learning a life lesson, taking a
journey, undergoing a vision quest, and going through life transitions.
Messenger totems: these totems are sent to give us specific messages, and they do not stay
with us, although the same messenger totems may appear over and over again
throughout our lives.
Shadow totems: these
totems will often be animals that you dislike, or even loath. They may be
animals that you are afraid of, or that represent danger, threat, and
predatorialism to you. These animals will often be ferocious protectors of you
in times of danger. Most likely they will appear to tech you the hardest life
lessons. These will challenge you. They will often appear in nightmares to
attack you which they do in order to make you face something.
Guardians and protectors: these animals act like your guardian angles to help
protect you on every level; even from yourself.
Guides and teachers: these totems appear as our teachers and guides. They are often our sign
posts.
Record keepers: these
totems keep our memory, and can help us access our akashic records. They can
also help us access ancestral memory and the collective unconscious as well as
our past life memories.
Facilitators: these
totems are the diplomats and help facilitate communication and teachings from
all of you other totems. They regulate the how we are taught on instructions
from God of course. They are the leaders of or totems. They are also often our
healers; helping to both heal us and aid us in our healing work.
Translators: these
totems help us protect our inner self; our inner worlds. Thy help us analyze
ourselves, our dreams, our visions, our actions, our gifts, and all that we are
and do. They help us understand our potential and our true path.
You have animal totems, plant
totems, stone totems, not to mention your bre’hon. Your bre’hon consists of
angels, fairies, saints, guides, teachers, and ancestors; as well as your soul
group. It also includes the ascended masters, the reiki guides, and all other
good spiritual beings in authoritative, protective, or teaching positions. Your
totem pants and animals may even be mythological plants and animals.
Job 12:7-13
7 "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or
the birds of the air, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let
the fish of the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the
LORD has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath
of all mankind.
11 Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food?
12 Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life
bring understanding?
13 "To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and
understanding are his.
(NIV)
Job 12:22
22 He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep
shadows into the light.
(NIV)
Job 11:7-9
7 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you
probe the limits of the Almighty?
8 They are higher than the heavens-- what can you do?
They are deeper than the depths of the grave-- what can you know?
9 Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than
the sea.
(NIV)
Job 11:13-19
13 "Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out
your hands to him,
14 if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no
evil to dwell in your tent,
15 then you will lift up your face without shame; you will
stand firm and without fear.
16 You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as
waters gone by.
17 Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will
become like morning.
18 You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look
about you and take your rest in safety.
19 You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and
many will court your favor.
